alrighty.. a friday movie updaTe

yep.. i did planed to watch a movie every friday and spend say 10mins analysing it.. lol.. practicing for media exam?? well.. that idea didnt' go so great.. couldnt' be bothered watching movie half the time and ack.. if i did.. i didn't do the write up. *sigh*

i think the last thing i watched was that jasper morello thingy.. well.. today i watched ICE AGE 2: the meLtdowN.. dum dum daaHHH!! -_-' how sad.. i went to go see it.. after so many times of me complaining how dodgy the first one was. bleh.. i had a free ticket that expired in two days >< DAM THAT SQUIRReL!! grr..it was the most annoying thing ever. but someone couldn't stop laughing at it. >.> *cough*

The purpose of the character: squirrel was basically used to pass time.. "contration of time" from real time to reel time.. haha.. as well as releasing tention between highly dramatic moments say.. well they are about to die.. lol.. which draws out humour in the audience as the narrative is generally directed at young kids so it was appropriate. but seriously.. squirrel heaven?? *yawn*

Overall the film was really predictive.. i guessed right for most of it.. except the fact that they introduced new monsters (those ugly sea creatures) and exacly how the meltdown will be avoided. coz i knew they would all survive having a happy ending.. coz it's a kids film after all..

well.. i dont want to spoil it.. go watch it for yourselves..

i say 6/10 =] it was better than the first one.. more colour on screen i think.. all i remember from last time was heaps of WHITE! and i couldnt get good sleep on the bus.

listen out for the musical score.. GO THE HORN SECTION!! waHH!! it was awesome!!! we got the melody everytime!! *i think*.. or maybe it was trumpet for one bit.. but nah.. we dominated!!!! (*pokes jasmine*.. get them to buy the score so we can play in band ^^)

The world's greatest SHAVE FOR A CURE Day at Glen Waverely Secondary College is FRIDAY MAY 5th.

At 1pm under the sails see students and staff shaved to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation. The target amount is $2500.

The Middle School Council will be coming around to your class PERIOD 2 on Thursday May 4th to collect donations. The more money collected the more students and staff will be shaved, it is as simple as that! Everyone is invited to donate a gold coin. At the end of the day the running total will be announced and the students and staff who will be shaved. Money can be donated up until recess on Friday May 5th. For students, you have a chance to participate by buying a raffle ticket from outside the Music Centre at any lunchtime from Monday April 28th to Thursday May 4th. The winner will be drawn out of a hat and will get the chance to shave a staff member or maybe even cut off Mr Mc Kinnon's pony tail or possibly win a Leukaemia beanie. REMEMBER, the more money raised the more students and staff will be shaved.

OR! You can give ya money directly to me coz that might be easier or bharat who is selling raffle tickets.. but yer.. =]

leadership forum and careers expo. careers expo was good.. lots of stuff and lots of freebies. lol... alvin managed to get himself a yoyo and plenty of candy hahaha. I caught public transport ALL BY MYSELF! waH! first time eh?? hahaha.. didn't get lost.. althought i really thought i was. .when i took an express train.. and it stopped at "south yarra" and i was thinking ARGH! i'm lost but i wasnt =P

At officeworks i also bought meself another A3 display book. >< ack.. so expensive. but it makes my work look pretty hahhaa

ARGH! i was at band -_-' *sob* and no transport to nicole's bday party.. nooOOoo.. that was a big bummer *sigh* Ah wellz.. i will still be surprising her with a present ^^

Band was alright. Managed to get most of the notes.. ^^ i am improving. haha.. *amazed* at how fast luke can transpose music though.. WAH! .. pro.. maybe i should just get him to compose music for my media product.. hmmm.. oh! i did manage to get copyright permission to use this band's music YES!!.. no i just gotta find a way ta download it ... awesome =]

didn't wake up as early as i liked. 7am >< then went on internet to try and download something. aRGH! never shoud have done that..and should have studied more for chem saC! -_-'

then stuffed that up completely. i canNOT belelive i didnt' change mLs to LItRES! aRGH!! and they gave molar masses of some elements and i never used those numbers in my calculation.. i was thinking "why did they have them there? what is it for?" ARGH i'm so sttuuuuuooooooPiiDDD!! *sob*

then the day just built up.. all these stupid meetings i had to be at.. all at the same time.. ah wellz.. magazine meeting wasn't so up there in priorities yet lol.. but i skipped lunch coz of that.. so i was thinking of eating during our wed 15 min break ^^ to bad there was another meeting.. *gah*

no lunch..feely so crappy... music lesson.. couldn't hit the top 'G' note and played complEtely out of tune..

friday

- church service in the morning ^^
- lunch at home but convinced mum to get McNuggets on our drive home hhehe
- drew the packaging for VCD project
- left house for tuition "Jack's chemistry lesson " *cries*
- left outside in the POURING RAIN for 10mins or so.. soo wet -_-'
- back to church.. youth group!! the people are just amazing.. few of them are gettin baptized this sunday.. wo0T!
- during youth group there was loads of singing/sharing of how people are/have been. Easter egg hunts (i only found one dammit) and the night ended with everyone writing their own message to God on this piece of paper .stuffing it in a balloon to be inflated with helium. and

3...2.....1.. GO!! lots of white balloons floating off into the night sky =D

Good Friday

righto.. "Good Friday" ... holiday YAY!

but no, it's seriously more than that. Good Friday marks the day of Jesus's Christ death yer as most of your would have heard or see in the movie Passion of the Christ he was nailed onto a cross and suffered the most horrific death. So, if Jesus the servant king was so mighty and powerful why did he die? doesn't that make Christianity look completely stupid?

Well, it's true if he died there would be no Christianity but he's journey didn't end there... it continues as He rose three days later.

"...Christ died for our sins [what we have stuffed up in our lives, the stuff we have done wrong] according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures...after that he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers [believers] at the same time..." 1 Corinthians 15: 3-6

He beaT DEATH! That is the Resurrection of Christ as Paul in the bibles states and WOAH! people having seen him die and then alive again in this massive crowd! waH! seeing is believing as they state it these days.. and all of this is recorded in the Bible.. it's historical fact! but so many people out there dont accept it and *sigh* that is depressing.

Basically He has died for all our wrong doings so that we may be saved. Because we are sinners and we can't help it, we are condemned to dealth. "For the wages of sin is dealth" Romans 6:23. Wages refers to payment and death refers to eternal seperation from God in Hell. But the rest of this verse ends on a brigther note thanks to JESUS!

"For the wages of sin is dealth, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" It was meant to have been us nailed to that cross but Jesus took our place so that we may live and all he asked was to believe in him.

yer.. so i attended Haileybury's one yesterday and wore something that closely resembles a dress. skirt + jumper counts =P.

Held at The Venue @ Tudor Court somewhere in Caulfield. woaH. massive place! looked really big from the outside but once four hundred or so people crammed inside it seemed quite small.

ack.. you were getting trampled on if you entered that tiny dance floor. So many pplz.. nearly all in fact squished onto the floor and they were all on a high. The space for dancing was no bigger than the portables in our school. hmm..yer the size of P11 But they atmosphere was NUTS! music was LOUD!

Food was good hehe.. waiters started bring out stuff on platers went people started arriving and i just couldn't help myself yummm !! chicken kebabs, chicken stuffed buns, spring rolls.. woah.. everyone was busy talking but i was stuffing myself haha.. lol then i saw AVIS and LIZZIE! i had no idea that they were going ..cool ^^ someone i knew

Met lots of new people..waH.. so many Andrews and Davids my mind went all dizzy.

Ya lots of fun.. well i tried to make the most of it even though i didn't see the person that invited me for half the night lol.. it's cool. =]

ya.. today was the minifest thingy. A mini version of the manifest i'm guessing. Held at melbourne uni there was a hall dedicated to anime video game type things, drawing classes, cell painting, people dressing up (v. few), drawing room, screenings, a candy stand? and ...DDR!! haha

People that i saw there.. the famous SARAH CHAN! .. wahh.. such a good drawer.. and so is micheal and his brother and his friend.. *amazing*.. and their DDR skills are so pro too! no way!! i have trouble just following the arrow signs with my eyes =_='

Didnt' end up going to any screenings but sat in for two drawing workshops. woah.. the teachers can draw stuff out of nothing in two seconds and make it so PRO!.. yer.. well i guess that's why they were the teachers. yeah! i found an easy way to draw eyes now.. lol.. simple but i guess it's affective.

only regret.:

I DIDN'T HAVE A VIDEO CAMERA.. arghhh *melts* if i took one then half of my media project would have been completed. they explained the whole origin of anime and manga and everytHING! argh. now i will have to find an actor to play the 'professional know it all' in my documentary about "the influences of anime in society" dammit..

Vcd - teacher expects 120pgs to have been done!! *drops jaw* i've only done 14

Media - never did year 11.. still need to catch up on all the media vocab.. first sac wed ><

Chem - *faints* workload is piling up soo quickly! faster than methods compared to last term. Chapter questions 6 is what i'm at.. and we are meant to be starting eight was it?? ahh... =_=

English - if i don't keep practising essays and stuff i will be screwed for exam.. if you were to write a romulus question right NOW would you still remember it??

MEthods - thank goodness only one exam ^^ and as for year 12.. i'm enjoying it.. hahahah.. can't wait to finish it also =]
