Hi Gamer Students -
Angela here. The latest news is:

1. that the wonderful Tom Apperley will be your subject coordinator this semester.
While I would have loved to have been on board in this subject with you and Tom,
unfortunately my health won't allow it - at least, for the whole semester. You won't
escape from seeing me, however - I will be coming in to give a few lectures and I'll
be orchestrating some behind the scene things like access to games and the LMS. Any
subject related questions should now go to Tom (I've included Tom's contact
information on the LMS) and if Tom can contact me if need be.

2. About the games, I'll be posting a list of games that will be available in the
ERC library and the School's Elisabeth Murdoch library - hopefully early next week.
I'll set up a PS3, PS2 and XBox player and you'll be able to book a time to play
games you've chosen from a list (TBA). One thing to keep in mind - in the past,
students using these facilities have become a bit excited while in the throes of
game play. While you'll be in a separate room, sometimes the yelps, screams and,
dare I say it, swearing, gets a bit loud.... so try to reign it back a notch :)

3. I've asked the IT team to activate the nicer blog that some of you have used in
the past. This should be functioning next week so paper presenters who've been
busting to post their work will be able to go for it.

subject. Coming to a lecture near you soon....
