hey you. yer YOU! =P men

High Vis need men
Are you a man? Know someone who is? Next Wave artists Jess Daly, Matthew Kneale, Dan Koerner and Zoe Meagher are looking for men with a non-arts background to take part in a sewing workshop at Craft Victoria.
The workshops will use the construction of a high visibility work vest as a framework to teach basic sewing skills and give participants the confidence to adapt, repair and construct their own clothing. Participants will be able to keep their finished vest, which, in addition to its obvious use at a construction site, can also be worn as a stylish cycling vest. Noice.
These workshops are part of a larger project designed to help the artists prepare for their 2010 Next Wave Festival project, titled HighVis.
Men of all types are invited to attend one of the following workshops:
Workshop 1: Saturday 28 November, 2009, 11am to 1pm and 1:45 to 5pm
Workshop 2: Saturday 5 December, 2009, 11am to 1pm and 1:45 to 5pm
Workshop 3-6: Dates to be confirmed
HighVis Workshops
Craft Victoria, 31 Flinders Lane, Melbourne
$15 per workshop ($10 for Craft Victoria members)

JOB!! BE ON TV!!

http://channelnine.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=873032
LOOOL i so want to do it for fun XD
on the side_
its been a while since ive flicked on the tv on a sunday.
all that comes to mind is .. dodgy sexed up music videos, its like they aint aware kids are home at that hour >.>
anywho..
there was this movie "Pride" playing. hilarious!! like a nature documentary but animals are animated to move their mouths and talk. some adventure of two lion cubs
"see ya, have a good life, oh and don't swim in the water, there is a crocodile" - cub
there is much to learn from the simple greeting..well what's the opposite to a greeting?
goodbye phrase? lol
1. it acknowledges they met the person/animal. they say "baiz" before leaving/ignoring them
2. they have good intentions.. "have a good life"
wahh..who says this these days??!..
how many times.. do we hear of backstabbing and scams just for one to climb up the
hierarchy ladder of career advancement.
the world is a c r u e l place.
3. the last part..offers advice..genuine care.
looking out for one another
true altruism..
something a scientific-world-view is yet to explain
I'm sorry Mr. Richard Dawkins.. explaining a l t r u i s m through the process of a genetic gene miscoding/copying/transcription mistake of evolution..just does not cut it.
ahh..the things you learn off tv whilst it randomly plays in the background =P

this is an interesting initiative .. hmm..
Since summer is approaching and big companies are starting to spend we have loads of work on. We have work in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
What does a 3 Minute Angel do?
Primarily we are a workplace incentive provided to employees of big companies. We give these stressed-out workers a great 5-minute neck and shoulder massage at their desk.
Whilst this is the majority of our work we sometimes are given from one company to their clients as 'thank you'. Sometimes we go to tradeshows, conferences or to hospitality events - when we provide the massage and sometimes a message. Messages are usually simple promotional call-to-actions or key benefits or a product.
Why work with us?
We give the best relaxing (non-remedial) massages in town - leaving our lucky customers with a smile on their face, and genuinely feeling better.
We have a self-service culture. You roster yourself onto jobs, you progress through the training at your own speed. It is pretty much all organised online.
We pay pretty well - usually $25/hr (min. 2-hr call out) but we also give commissions, pay travel time, bonuses and half-day or full-day rates.
Do you have to be massage qualified?
Previous massage experience would be a great advantage but not essential - as we don't try and fix anyone, ever at all!
What is more important is you must be an outgoing personality, not afraid to have fun and engage with people or learn from peers.
3MA has a strong belief in the education of our staff and is dedicated to creating an "earning and learning" environment. We provide free training in Massage, Sales, Promotions and Leadership.
This is THE fantastic casual job for anybody who seeks variety and excitement in their week – not to mention the good money to be made. (Angels earn between $17 - $30 /hr + super)
hm..and the message goes on.. www.3minuteangels.com
never heard of it. started in 2002

XMEN XMEN XMEN [top 10 & more]
I AM SO EXCITED (and should be doing neuroscience self learning comp task and starting readings for philosophy assignment) but HEY! XMEN~
X-Men: The Second Coming

it would be very interesting to see how they conclude/attempt to conclude the Messiah CompleX/War.
basically after M-day.. a mutant Scarlet Witch (magneto's kid) with Hex powers in her frustration altered reality with the words "no more mutants" ..wiping off zillions! (okay not that many.. but heaps!) of mutants.
Beast (Mr. Hank McCoy) after investigation didnt go anywhere. the geneticist found that bascially its like the X-gene never existed and somehow cant be replicated.
no more mutant births..except this one kid called Hope (for obvious reasons)
Bishop (mutant from the future) wants to kill her.. because apparently he sees her being a cause for the destruction of the universe i guess. from the time where he comes from.
Cable is taking care of the kid, protecting her
X-Force team is trying to help out..
deadpool pops along into the picture in the X-Force line.. crazy crazy
the Authorities are after the kid.. coz its a "potential" danger.. aka. kill it
and Apocalypse is now revived! zomg!!
THE INTENSITY!!!
side note: i ditched reading uncanny xmen..coz it was bascially bout emma frost's personal intimate relations..
i shall not pay to read that. ew
