For those who don't know, I have been helping out at The Melbourne Fringe Festival lately, in particular Revolt Productions (Kensington)

So i saw a show and Miklos the Mime is AMAZING LIVE!! really!

"It's Good to Shut Up Sometimes" is a colourful bunch of funny, lyric, romantic, clever short stories, carefully spiced with the fantastic.

Miklos, a World Champion mime artist mixes mime, music, sound effects, improvisation, interplay with the audience and conversational hypnosis to boost your imagination and entertain you.

The stories he plays are not only funny and entertaining, but meaningful as well. If you never seen mime before, it's your best chance. If you did, it's different.

The guy's got 27 years experienced, professional dance and movement therapist and its really nice. Won the World Championship of Performance Arts title last year at LA.

i encourage you guys to get off ya sometimes uncreative butts and check out some of the stuff in the Fringe ^_________^ support the artists!!!

p.s. revolt productions is an amazing location - spacious, mysterious, dungeon like, steam-punk like, open bar, chillax, vintage, semi broken, alternative are a few words to describe it.

It wasn't too hard to find, right next to the 7/11 but yer.. the door was kinda small.
walk up a bunch of stairs to a different world 0_0
im impressed with the architects. i dunno if it was intentional, but the way the place captures the light and naturally lets it filter through and express itself with the tinge of earthy orange/brown feel, was quite welcoming, and homely. We visited at 1pm.

place was PACKED! and noisy, but in a nice buzzing of conversation pleasant way. unlike noisy conversation of a chinese restaurant bad way.

definitely try that corn stuff and taco stuff

i quite liked the American version (1967) of our Ned Kelly and their folk heros.
wonder how it will go.. I seriously am glad they ditched Hilary Duff for the lead as Bonnie though... would have wrecked the entire film right there. ><" nothing against her, but Bonnie is quite a character and Duff's repertoire doesn't impress or match the role.

side note: this film still holds as one of the better articulated sex scenes in my books lewl.
they were very clever about it, maybe it is cliche now, no idea. but juxtaposition of cuts to two newspaper pages being blown away in the middle of no where. it was fitting.

This Australia family has a extremely special place in my heart...
